Don't feel bad about anything you post? You have a right to ask anything. If Kevin or our new list deems it inappropriate, it will be removed. Otherwise, it will be answered if anyone knows. You should feel free to speak your mind and not worry about someone getting angry at you. And if they do, don't worry about it. It's not a judgement on you, it's just a disagreement. Read what they have to say, agree with it or not. It's your decision. As for Tulips, I'm not sure. I have never seen anything. It was certainly not a well received movie so there probably wasn't a great deal of "hoopla" surrounding it.

The funny thing about that movie to me is that terrible as so much of it is, Bernadette actually creates a very fresh, detailed and realistic portrait of someone who is emotionally unstable and horribly depressed. It's a kind of person you see in life but rarely on the screen. That's what I liked about the character of Jane Murray in Last Best Year. There are people like that all around but you would never know it from Hollywood; they might as well be invisible to mainstream TV and film. One of the things Bernadette seems to do as an actress is create characters out of observing and reflecting on human behavior. Too many actors just seem to unconsciously imitate other actors which is why so much you see today feels so cliched. I would recommend buying Tulips for the great performance. It's always available at a low price on ebay.
