Just thought I would let you know Bernadette was at "The Boy from Oz" last night!
She looked wonderful.
I saw her on my way out as she was heading backstage!

From: Boston | posted: 9/9/2004 at 8:32:39 AM ET oh do tell us more, about where was she sitting? Did she enjoy herself? (Hard to think how she couldn't with a performance like that, however weak the show is). And not to mention underated incredible Elphaba of the future (and the past, she was signed on before Idina) Stephanie J Block.
if you go here, you can listen to Stephanie sing a great new song, "Neverland" and see a video of her performing it:

He is so talented. And you are right about Stephanie Block, and if I can add my .02---Isabel Keating! What an amazing transformation. Get these women back on Broadway PRONTO--Bernadette too!!

Registered: 11/6/2003 | posted: 9/9/2004 at 9:20:05 AM ET It would interesting to hear her take on the show since, I believe, she and Peter Allen were friends.
For those of us who were around when Judy Garland was alive Keating is amazing in the role. Block & Jackman weren't bad either. Entertaining show though not much of a plot or storyline.

Peter and Bernadette
If anyone hasn't seen it, a documentary called "The Boy from Oz" is just stunning--it contains clips of Peter performing, interviews with him, and, most movingly, interviews with friends and colleagues, including Bernadette. I guess it was from maybe 1995 (he died in 1992).
I'm a bit surprised that she went to Boy from Oz; I would think that it might be too emotional for her.
(I clearly remember Peter Allen from some of those wonderful old TV variety shows.)
