Has anyone heard anything about the charity event taking place after Bernadette's concert in Boston on April 3? The woman at Symphony Hall told me (about two months ago) that she wasn't sure how much tickets were going to be or if Bernadette was indeed going to be present at the charity function. She also told me that the best way to purchase tickets for the concert and the subsequent charity event was to initially buy regular priced tickets and then wait for an invitation to purchase the charity tickets which will, in turn, give you better seats. She said everyone who purchases a regular ticket will receive an invitation to purchase a charity ticket. I have been unable to garner any further information and was wondering if anyone else had heard anything? If not, I can certainly call Symphony Hall and try to get more information and post if for those interested. I believe tickets go on sale September 13. I would assume her concerts sell out quickly?

From the brochure of the Fleet Center Celebrity Series 2004-2005 Season, page 18:
" The entertainment will continue long after Bernadette Peters' last note has echoed through the hall! My guess; no extra performance by Bernadette, maybe a quick appearance but then she's gone. I have no special knowledge, just a hunch.

Thanks Jean! I have that brochure, too, but wasn't sure if anyone had heard anything new since it came out. I will call the ticket office and see if any new information is available and then post if for all who might be interested.

I know this might be wishful thinking, but has anyone heard if Bernadette will have any Canadian concert dates??

I haven't heard of any concerts in Canada or Georgia. The closest concert to Georgia I have heard about is Florida. Sorry. :-(

OK. Here is the word from the special events person at Boston Symphony hall: Tickets go on sale for BP's show on September 14 (I originally thought it was the 13). If you are a non-subscriber to their events, then the best way to get tickets to the "after-party" is to first buy a regular priced seat because then you are at least guaranteed a seat at the show. Then, about six weeks before the performance, you should receive an invitation to upgrade your tickets to symphony seats and admission to the after-party (this is expected to cost about $250). If you do not receive an invitation, you may certainly call and request to upgrade the tickets. Also, the number of regular-priced tickets you buy does not mean that you cannot buy more tickets to the gala event when you decide to purchase those (for example, if you buy only one regular priced ticket but then decide you want to take a friend, when you purchase the upgraded tickets, you can then purchase one for your friend, too). The price you paid for your regular-priced ticket will be deducted from the price of the "gala" ticket. Does this make sense? I hope it's clear. It's kind of hard to convey over a short poting!
