Went to the Stage Deli yesterday and they must have a new menu now because Bernadette has her own sandwich there. (I know there was talk of it a while back.) I didn't notice it the last time I was there which was back in May. Anyway, her sandwich was a triple decker that included chicken salad and hard boiled egg. I think it also had lettuce and/or tomato but I can't remember and wasnt hungry enough to eat that large of a sandwich.
If this is a new addition, it may shed some light on the whole vegetarian (red meat vs chicken) discussion from a few months back. If I am completely wrong and it has been on the menu for a while, let me know. I may have missed it the first time around.

I wonder if they ask the celebrity to approve the sandwich type, or just pick ingredients at random.

Who picks the ingredients the celebrity or the deli?

I just checked the menu on the Stage Deli's website, and apparently it's not completely up to date, because the sandwich you described is listed as the Julia Roberts. So Bernadette didn't even get a new sandwich, just someone else's cast-off. Boo!
She deserves her own, with more imaginative ingredients.

The actors should definitely have a say in the ingredients. I ate at the Stage Deli with my sister and cousins about 4 weeks ago (the Wed after Bway Barks) and we were all excited to see the Bernadette sandwich but I was bummed about it having chicken which I don't eat.

i dont believe bernadette is a vegetarian or at least not a traditional one in the sense of no meat at all because i remember one of her questions on the gypsy forum saying that she likes to eat spinach and fish before shows or something light. hope this helps
