I absolutely love the music from Gypsy, so of course I cannot wait until Bernadette is in the show!
So, my question is....what song (from Gypsy) are you most looking foward to hearing (and seeing) Bernadette perform?
My personal fav. is "Together, Wherever We Go"....but that's a trio.
For one of her solos, I'm dying to hear "Everything's Coming Up Roses." We've always heard her sing "Some People", so I think a different BIG solo number will be a show-stoper.
I also want to see her perform "Mr. Goldstone" (if they don't cut it); she's gonna be so funny doing that one. lOL

Like you, I love "Gypsy"; although I look forward to all of her songs, I guess the one I most anticipate is "Rose's Turn". It's quite dramatic, and really will give Bernadette a chance to act it, not just sing. I can also just see Rose and Herbie singing "You'll Never Get Away from Me", with Bernadette perhaps being her wonderful teasing/flirtatious/funny self.

I still LOVE "some people". I love that song to death, and I love love love when she sings it. So that's probably my favorite.

LOL I love "You'll Never Get Away From Me" also. I really wish I knew who was playing Herbie already!
Yes Jenny, you should definitely rent it; but get the one with Bette Midler (there are a few versions). Bette is also wonderful in the role.The songs will just stick in your head; it's great!
