I think it is going to be my new obsession because by then GYPSY will be gone, as will ASSASSINS (my new favortie show with GYPSY gone). Anyone know what their new fav's will be when GYPSY is gone??

Wicked I'm seeing for a third time on July 18th (if not sooner), and The BFO I'm seeing for a second time on June 13th (even though my friend has a free ticket for me for June 2nd...but I can't go to Wednesday Matinees because of work)

From: northern VA | posted: 5/24/2004 at 10:30:03 PM ET Brandon-I'm interested in the La Cage revival as well. I'm not very familiar with it,but I'm sure I will be soon. I know Jerry Herman is the composer and I know the *basic* outline of the show, but I don't know why I've never picked up a recording of the show. Oh,and I know "I Am What I Am"... Maybe I need to do that soon.
I'm not sure if I will have a new favorite soon-my favorites seem to be pretty stable-but I'm eagerly awaiting the Caroline,or Change recording. Not just for the performances, which I've heard are remarkable, but it has several local (Louisiana) connections-the setting and the librettist/lyricist,Tony Kushner (he was raised in Lake Charles,LA,which is in the southwestern area of the state). I haven't had the chance to see it,unfortunately.
For some reason,Show Boat (the Harold Prince revival) is one I've been playing several times. I'm moving, and I recently rediscovered it. It was hidden behind my CD player (along with my Will Rogers Follies CD,which brought back fond memories).

I think it opens in January.

From: northern VA | posted: 5/30/2004 at 10:39:25 PM ET I'm also interested in the upcoming Dracula and Little Women musicals. I'm not a huge Wildhorn fan,but I think this is right up his alley. Very epic. The Little Women cast sounds wonderful.
