You'd think that this time of year would be prosperous for Broadway shows. It's technically spring and I thought this would be the time when things would start to kick into high gear. Unfortunately, Gypsy did not do well at all this past week:

Are there still cast members going to the TKTS booth? It was so incredibly affective in March and you'd think they would want to go out with a bang. Although, I suppose it's a huge time committment to stand in line and try to coax people into coming to see Gypsy (Not to mention very taxing, physically.

I believe this time is still hard for Broadway. I think in June, when school is out, it begins to get better. Unfortunately, Gypsy won't be given the chance.
I don't think the cast is doing TKTS anymore. I don't blame them either. Someone very smart said something very interesting to me recently and it has stuck with me: If the producers are closing the show, AFTER they had guarenteed the cast it would stay open until September, why are they going to want to put any more money into their pockets if the show is already closing? I agree with that comment. I bet some of the cast cancelled many summer plans thinking they were going to have a job through the summer, and this hasn't been very fair for them considering all the wonderful things they did to help the show.
This is just my opinion! I don't mean to speak for anyone, maybe the cast feels totally different.
I hope they know that all their hard work has inspired so many of us, and that we all LOVE the show!!
