Hey guys,

Well as I said in my last post....I'm really sad about the news that the show is closing.

However, is anyone a little optimistic about the producers keeping the show open a little longer if ticket sales go up again??

I really want to be optimistic and think that we can spread the word around. The chats and Bernadette's questions on the Gypsy forum are a great idea and maybe we can do something else to help out.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I would like to think there is still some hope.

suggestions or comments?

You either got it, or you aint!

Or maybe its time to have it close. There are lots of other great things Bernadette can be doing and we can still enjoy her talents. It's not like she's going to disappear from the face of the earth. And I don't think the other talented folks in the cast will fade into oblivion either.

The show can't stay open for ever and it really has had a good run.

Here's my take,and it's just my opinion.

Shows can't stay open indefinitely. Some shows don't get a second chance. A year is a perfectly respectable run for an oft-revived show. As moljul said, there are other projects to be had. And the fact that unemployment may be coming up for quite a few is undoubtedly unnerving and scary. I'm not discounting that at all, since I've faced sudden unemployment without any job lined up. You wake up in the middle of the night with your heart racing. And yes,I realize that actors know this is a reality due to the nature of the business, but that doesn't make them unfeeling machines.

It was said that Memorial Day was the day the show would close if sales weren't satisfactory to the producers,so it's not as big a surprise as the first go around.

(btw-Fall From Grace will be mailed Friday!)

Hey guys. I totally understand your point of view and I agree with it. I'm excited for the exciting things that are to come for the entire cast. However, that doesn't make it less sad or dissapointing for us or for them.

Once again, good luck to the entire cast.

They have had an excellent run, and have really pulled together like a family to keep it going as long as they have.
I will be there closing night (with a few tears I'm sure)...but also applauding like crazy in respect for what a fantastic group of people they are.

I wish them all so much luck on future projects.
THANK YOU EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH GYPSY FOR BEING SUCH AN INSPIRATION. YOU HAVE INDEED LEFT YOUR MARK, AND SHALL NOT BE FORGOTTEN.
