Maybe I'm obtuse, but I don't get it. Who is this person, and why would he spend his time randomly monitoring celebrity fan sites? A puzzlement.

That is just disturbing on MANY levels.
I mean, I know that all of us here go on some message boards and websites (like this one) in our spare time and for fun; but that person who started that seriously needs to find something better to do with his/her time.
My guess is they are studying Media/Journalism, and decided to do this as a project.  At least I hope that's the reason. lol
It's still pretty freaky none-the-less.
What on earth would make them pick this particular board? Why not go to a Michael Jackson fansite, or Britney Spears. Surely they must have some crazier topics and arguments.

because i started reading these boards recently, i was reading old posts and wondering why that poster bwaybaby left. i like how this guy refers to the situation as "her misspelled snit sends Bwaybaby off the boards, in one of those infamously angsty fandom 'exits.'"

I'd read an article on self-googling where you put your own name in and see what comes up. I tried my name twice, Jennifer and Jenny and I found something I'd posted ages ago about a continuity error on Friends...anyway, then I put in my user name on different sites and I tried "jenny_loves_bernadette" and two things came up from this website, like my profile and then this weird page came up. I can't find an e-mail address on it though. The whole page is written in somewhat of a p*ss taking mannor and he quoted me...it feels so weird. I'm wondering that perhaps its one of the anonymous posters that so often tries to instigate some kind of conflict just to spice up the board.

That would not surprise me at all.
And to the anonymous person who asked why that poster left...we're not being uptight at all. But perhaps what was said and done in the past should remain in the past.
