Registered: 4/1/2003 | posted: 4/5/2004 at 8:39:39 PM ET I just read that the gross for the week ending 4/4 was 71.5% of capacity, a drop of 14% over the previous week. The total was $482,716 with 8,276 attendance. While this still seems pretty good to me, I hope the show will hold on long enough for me to see it again in May. I was a teensy bit worried after reading producer Ron Kastner's comment in the New York Times last week about the low advance sale, and how he wished it "was getting bigger, but it isn't." Let's all keep our fingers crossed, and urge everyone we know to get in there and get tickets!
They are in ample supply at the TKTS booth.

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 4/5/2004 at 9:30:16 PM ET That's too bad, but in looking over the figures at Playbill, I noticed that every single one of the 27 shows listed dropped last week. At least Gypsy is not alone. But I agree, it's important to keep promoting the show at this crucial time.
