Any suggestions for a Canadian girl moving to NYC??
I loved living there this past summer and I would love to be there again for this one. Just thought some of you would know some tips since some of you are from the area.
For example, which areas are nice, any websites that are useful, any suggestions at all would be great! I also figured it would be good info to share for anyone else who is in the same situation as I am!
Thanks!
You either got it, or you aint!

This is a great website that lists housing/apartment vacancies. Most of the Manhattan areas are nice, but it's a matter of what you can afford as well. Personally I wouldn't move to Harlem or anything lol but Manhattan and Queens are good places to look.

Although I never lived there, Brooklyn Heights (in Brooklyn, duh) is a beautiful, convenient to Manhattan, I think safe, area, with lots of good little restaurants and one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen--from "the Promenande", the downtown skyline of Manhattan and the East River (sadly the Twin Towers are but a ghost now, but I feel honored to have a picture of them that my Mother took).
