Remember way back when, when some of us long time fans heard were quite dissapointed that Reba was given the role of Annie Oakley in the CBS movie version of Annie Get Your Gun? Parade Magazine's little Q & A thing, someone asked the question of whatever happened to that? (And they mentioned that Bernadette won the Tony for the b'way role)-(My parents gave the mag to my aunt, so I didn't get a chance to pull it out to type this out- so I don't know how accurately all of my quotings are)...

Well the answer was, that it was pulled..I think they said b/c of money? (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong). And then that was followed by the sentence that went something like this: If they ever thing of reviving it again, we'd prefer seeing Peters get the role.

-Just wanted to share. Have a great week.

Take care,

I much preferred Bernadette in the role as well. I saw Reba twice and while she maybe had the whole country thing down better but she just is not a very good actress. I felt like I was watching a high school production.

Anyway, what I heard about the production was that it was only going to move forward with Reba's involvement. She felt that the producers weren't going to give enough money to make the production a good one and they didn't want to give more money. So the project ended.
