Not sure if this has been posted yet or not but there will be a Bravo special on Feb. 28th presumably about Sherry! There was also a Playbill article about the same show. Here are the links/info:

Wonder if the hotel I'll be staying at carries Bravo??

Here's a review from the San Francisco Chronicle 2/15/04

Nathan Lane. Bernadette Peters. Carol Burnett (left). Tommy Tune. No, this musical by James Lipton (book, lyrics) and Laurence Rosenthal (score) didn't have anything like such a star-studded cast when it hit Broadway in 1967. Maybe it would have run more than nine weeks if it had. It certainly profits from the accident that buried it for three decades -- a misdirected trunk containing all known scores, presumed destroyed until it turned up at the Library of Congress in 2000. Lipton and Laurence reconstructed and revised the show and Lipton assembled an all-star cast to make this, its first recording, with musical direction by Marvin Laird. A remake of the Kaufman and Hart classic "The Man Who Came to Dinner," "Sherry!" is a somewhat diluted version of the original, and some of the best songs owe too obvious a debt to Lerner and Loewe. But there's a delightful verve to the whole proceedings. Lane is superb as the sublimely self-infatuated Sheridan Whiteside. His duets with Peters, as his love-yearning secretary, are almost worth the cost of the CD. His duets with Burnett's comically giddy Lorraine Sheldon put it over the top. Tune's suave Noel Coward-ly turns are icing on a sweet cake. -- Robert Hurwitt

There is a small clip from what I assume is the upcoming Bravo episode about Sherry! You may need to scroll down on the page but go to the Sherry Interactive Player.

Got the CD today, havn't listened to it yet but on the 2nd CD if you put it in your computer you can watch about 5 minutes of Bernadette's interview on Inside the Actor's Studio and they show her tap dance!
from this alone it's a MUST HAVE!

Am I the only one who thinks this would make a great benefit concert? I could just picture this same cast doing these songs/scenes at like Carnegie Hall or something. This way they wouldn't have to act out the play part of the musical; they could just do the songs from the cd, but incorporate costumes and and character expressionisms.

That's a cool idea! In fact, that method worked quite well at the tenth anniversary Les Mis concert, when they brought together stars from worldwide productions to perform the musical as a concert. They were all in costume and did necessary dialogue, but it wasn't the musical. It's a great concert.

This sounds very interesting.........If they ever do a concert version I'll be there. If anyone catches wind of that happening PLEASE let me know.

I am sure my long lost friend Jean will be the first to find out.

Jim.
