How do you put a Bernadette picture next to your name when you post a message?

go to "my profile" to the left of the screen. you can figure it out from there.

whenever I try to upload a picture, the thing won't let me. It says it's too big, but even when I make it smaller, it says the same thing?

The magic size is 8,172 bytes, When the picture is made in to the avatar size it has to be smaller than that. If you are still getting the error message you might want to make sure the image is in JPG or GIF format.. they compress better. If you're still having problems let me know and I'll fix it.
