From: London | posted: 8/13/2002 at 2:18:40 PM ET I bought a carol burnett show video where bernadette played her niece in an exorcist spoof. 1974! she was 25 going on 26! Anyway, theres another sketch where this guy is referring to her as lou-lou and carol's character loves him and he keeps going on about lou-lou(bernadette).....anyway! he mentions the fact that lou-lou sings "we're in the money" in pig latin and how cute it is. Bernadette actually does this though.......So, did she do this before or after this guy spoke about her doing it in 1974?

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 8/13/2002 at 4:03:15 PM ET In the movie where "We're in the Money" originated, Gold Diggers of 1933, Ginger Rogers actually did sing the song first straight and then in pig latin which was kind of a fad back then. So Bernadette's concert version is really kind of a hommage to both Ginger Rogers and Busby Berekley who first came up with the idea.
