Hi Everyone!
I've been reading posts for a couple of months now but I have never posted before. I'm amazed at how many great Bernadette fans are here. Usually I have to keep my gushing to myself because no one I know understands why I love her so much!
I would love to be a performer one day, and get to work with her! I moved to NYC this summer, just to try it out, and I was lucky enough to meet and talk to her a few times. She's wonderful and made me want to get to know her even more!!!!! GYPSY was amazing and I ended up seeing it three times!!!! I will be back in the city this New Years to see it again, and I hope to see Bernadette at the stage door.
Since I know there have been posts recently about people not taking the initiative to look up there own info, I read all the posts on the message board before even posting!!!! lol
I'm curious as to the diversity of the people on this board! Why are you guys fans? For how long have you been fans? Has there ever been a meeting among members of the board?
Ok, before I bore you guys even more, I just have one more question: In the last few months I have been collecting a lot of Bernadette movies, footage and info. However, there are a few things I still would like to have. Is it appropriate, on this board, to ask people if they have certain things?? For example, I am dying to see if anyone has the SNL video!!!!
Anyway, I look forward to chatting with everyone in the future!

Hey! Welcome to the bored! We are so glad to have you! Bernadette is my favorite performer in the world for several reasons. She is a very well trained actress and singer, but more than that she "Becomes" her songs if that makes any sense. She doesn't just sing, she acts the song. She can evoke an emotion in me quicker than I have ever seen any performer. She is also beautiful and a very good person and role model. This is very important to me because I have younger siblings that also share my love for her. She takes care of herself and has taught my brothers and sister a lot about health. LOL they say they'll never smoke because Bernadette doesn't!
I think it's perfectly okay to ask people if they have certain items, and thanks for asking if you could. I've made several people copies of videos. Alas, I do not have the SNL video and would love it if someone did and could copy it for us. I'm also looking for the Muppet episode if anyone has it! Welcome again!

I love her because she is always very real. She is one performer who truly uses her own life on stage or film. Even in THE JERK (where I first noticed her) she takes the rediculous character and plays her so real. She amazes me with what she can do. I love her because she is a great role model, and not just for performers, but for human beings as a whole! I dont know if any of this makes sense because I am SO tired, but there ya go! haha!

Hey Brandon! I'm playing Mabel in summer 2005 if we can get the rights! I love what you say about her always being real because, I'm learning the same acting process that she learned from Meizner and it's all about living truthfully under imaginary circumstances and making everything believeable. Marie Kimball is also one of my favorite roles that she plays for that very reason. She's rediculous yet you believe her. "Who knows, maybe the two of you can make love and think of me." Chiquita let's definitely hook up on the Muppet Video!

Some of us have actually met and are now very good friends  I'm always very wary as far as meeting people from the internet, but everyone I know from here that I talk to and hang out with are great people.

On the Comdey Central website they are letting people vote for the 50 best eposides of SNL to air. You can vote for Bernadette's at comeycentral.com. Just go to the SNL part.

I became in love with Bernadette after I saw her in Annie Get Your Gun. And most ppl in my lil Ohio town would have no clue who she is. Especially my friends in High School. Well at least I can talk to you guys about her

It's the show from the 1981-82 season, right? Just want to make sure I'm not missing any.
Also, it doesn't look like you can vote more than once for each season. I wasn't able to.
