for her 5th Tony (The Goodbye Girl). The bad news is...Chita Rivera has made a much trumpeted "return" (it's not a comeback) to Broadway in Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Her fellow nominees are Ann Crumb in Anna Karenina, who resists throwing herself under a train and goes on to play Rose in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Aspects of Love Broadway production, and Stephanie Lawrence in Blood Brothers, who is taken from us much too soon in November 2000.
