From: NYC | posted: 7/28/2004 at 9:28:47 AM ET Last night I dreamed that Bernadette was going to do a new Spanish language musical in China and her brother was throwing grasshoppers to her for good luck. She wouldn't speak anything but Spanish the whole time but everybody else was speaking English and finally she told the grasshopper brother "No tengo tiempo para ti" which basically translates to "I have no time for you". Very strange.

From: Bradenton/Sarasota, FLA | posted: 8/10/2004 at 9:28:11 AM ET I had my first Bernadette dream last night. I've read and enjoyed this thread, and felt a little left out that I had not had a dream involving her. Around four this morning, however, BP made it into my dream. It was very brief, but here goes: I was, in the dream, visiting one of my brothers (who I had tried to call last evening but couldn't reach). When I first got to his house, I greeted my brother and his wife; all's normal. I don't remember what happened in between, but suddenly we're all sitting outside at a wooden picnic table, I'm sitting on one end, and my sister-in-law turns to me and says one sentence. But it isn't my sister-in-law's face, it is Bernadette's face and hair. She says something like, "Is this for everyone to hear or just the deflowered?" (I know the "deflowered" word comes from that TNT movie "Prince Charming.") Then I woke up. Whattahell??? Weird.

If Bernadette Lazzara hadn't become an actress, what might she have done?

From: North Carolina | posted: 11/18/2011 at 1:03:39 PM ET I know this thread is several years old, but I stumbled upon it and it's just too funny! I loved reading about all these crazy Bernadette dreams.
Anyway, I've also had weird dreams like these. About a month ago I had one where I had just started working at K-Mart (which is weird because I haven't been in a K-Mart in over a decade, and haven't worked in retail since high school). So I'm stocking shelves and am really hating the job already. After a while, my manager comes to check on me. It turns out that my manager is Bernadette! We chat and I tell her that I don't really like the job. She sympathizes, gives me a pep talk, and then tells me what I need to do to move up in the company...and then she starts singing to me (I can't remember which song). She then walked away, and I went back to work feeling energized. I woke up right after that.
Just wanted to share that.

Registered: 11/8/2011 | posted: 11/21/2011 at 9:36:09 AM ET I think this is my first post here, though I've been lurking since I was assigned "Sally" in "Sally and Marsha" for an acting workshop. Anyway, here's my Bernadette Peters dream:
I was walking around the neighborhood and I noticed that Bernadette Peters was in front of a brownstone a few blocks from my place with a moving truck. It actually would not be weird because I live in part of Brooklyn that now has a lot of celebrities moving in, I think because it's very convenient to the theatre district AND the film/TV studios. But I digress. What is weird in the dream is that Bernadette was moving her stuff out off the place and into the moving truck, because I felt that if she had been living in the neighborhood I would've noticed. So I walked by and said, "Hi, are you moving away?" And just very normally she said, "No, I'm moving in. It's just that I moved my stuff in and then realized I forgot to have the apartment painted first, and I better do that before I put everything in it, or else it's going to get dripped on." I said, "Oh, well, good, I'm glad you're coming here and not leaving." Then she said, "Do you want to see inside?" I said, "Sure!"
So we go inside and it is this really weird space that you can only have in a dream where things are all out of proportion and sliding around and weird. And she said, "Don't you think it would be nice to have the whole thing painted purple?" I said, "Yeah, that would look really great!" And out of nowhere she hands me a paintbrush and she has one too, and there's this purple paint in a tray and we start painting the place. Then she said, when we were done, "This is a really big apartment. Thanks for helping me. I hope you'll come by and visit when you have time." Then she gave me a big hug and that was pretty much it.

And so nice of you to help Bernadette paint her apartment.
