And you both had wonderful seats, despite being pushed back two rows.....maybe the other first two rows had just been added. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. It would be amazing to see her sing "Roses Turn" live. And "Unexpected song" is from my absolute favorite show of hers, "song and dance".
She'll be two hours from me agian in April next year. But I think those tickets are already sold out, but I am working on getting to go. After hearing about how wonderful an experinece it can be, I should not miss it.

| posted: 11/12/2007 at 10:50:01 AM ET Rose's Turn is her encore, followed by "Count Your Blessings (Instead of Sheep)" because she doesn't 'want to leave th audience on that note'. It has been in every performance I've seen since GYPSY closed, so I don't imagine it would suddenly change before March... At least, I hope not, because even out of context, it is amazing, and one of my favorites!

A few years ago, I had a present and card for Bernadette, so I went outside the stage door before the performance, and knocked. Some man opened the door and I asked if he could please give this to Ms. Peters and he looked at me as if I was Osama himself! "What is this??" he asked suspiciously. "Oh, it's just an Elvis poster from when he was in Vero Beach... and Bernadette loves Elvis. Don't worry, I do this ALL the time" I assured him. However, he was so perplexed and cautious that I doubt it ever made it to her. YEESH! Seriously?!? It's a friggin Elvis poster for crying out loud! Some people...

Fav. BP Song: Being Alive Fav. BP Show: Sunday In The Park With George
| posted: 11/12/2007 at 4:44:06 PM ET Enjoyed the concert recap, Karen. It astounds me the way she sings through any ailment and sounds incredible every time. We all probably know the stories about her doing Broadway shows with the flu and taping Sunday In the Park while recovering from pneumonia and whatnot. I've probably taken sick days from work feeling alot better than Bernadette has singing lead two shows a day!

From: Edinburgh, Scotland | posted: 11/13/2007 at 6:21:31 AM ET I'd never read about her taping Sunday In The Park With George while recovering from pneumonia, that's pretty amazing. I had pneumonia once and I felt completely exhausted for weeks afterwards.
I have a friend who is a professional singer, an opera singer, and she has often told me that she likes to "sing through a cold". Apparently, singers quite enjoy the vocal possibilities it creates. It doesn't seem to do the voice any harm but singing through a throat infection is a big "no-no".
If she did have a cold but yet stood out in the chill and wind afterwards signing for fans ... well, that's pretty amazing too. How many big names would bother to do that?
