Who was it who said something like cults are religions that don't have football teams or universities yet.
In all the print interviews and articles I've read on Peters, I've never come across anything saying she was or is a Scientologist. But all I know about Scientoloty, I've learned from Tom Cruise. Ha Ha. And if Mr. Cruise is to be believed, aren't shrinks and medications a no no. And since Peters has talked about having a psychologist and Julian Sands said they called her staff nurse Peters on the set of Impromptu well . . . Anyway, I think what matters is how people conduct themselves and treat others, and from what we see and hear from her publicly at least, I'd say Peters is an outstanding representative for whatever spiritual, religious, cultish or other philosophy she may or may not follow or lean towards.
And she does seem old school in a good way -- believes in doing 8 shows a week and avoids discussing polictics and religion in interviews.

Bernadette's unwaivering support for the GLBT community is another reason to doubt that she has anything to do with Scientology, which has some pretty extreme (and quite bigoted) attitudes about homosexuality.

ROFL- not to sound redundant but the thought of that is so ridiculous...look what kind of celebs are Scientologists...Tom Cruise, Lisa Marie, Kirstie Alley. Bernadette just seems a little more together and open minded...no offense to Scientologists. This thread gave me a good laugh
