UCONN was performing Into the Woods while she was there and she commented that she could hear them singing from her bathroom. Kinda cute! Glad to hear her humor and "sparkle" extended into Saturday's performance as well.

The woman who played the witch was not as strong an actress as she really needed to be still a strong singer. I also thought the Mysterious Man/Narrator could have been stronger. But everyone else was really very good.
Bernadette also talked about what she did during Saturday. She visited the Co-Op which is UConn's bookstore. She talked about all the things she bought there, including a sweatshirt and a little bear and something else. Then she mentioned how UConn was like its own city, with an infirmary and a hotel. She said, "I really like it up here in the UConn". Everyone laughed.

She mentioned on Friday that she wanted to go to the bookstore to get a stuffed animal for a friend who had always wanted to go there. She also liked the school because their mascot is a dog. I think she called it a Samoyed, but I think it is actually a Husky.

| posted: 12/4/2005 at 10:33:54 PM ET Well she must have gotten it straight by Sat night because she just called it Uconn or the University of CT. I guess she got the friend a bear. I wonder if the rest of the stuff was for the friend too. Oh, I remember what else she bought - a cap. I thought she meant a baseball cap but then she said it came with a gown but she didn't need it and asked if anyone in the audience needed the gown. LOL So maybe she got her friend a graduation cap.
