I just finished watching this. It was very interesting. There is A LOT of great archival footage! Bernadette isn't in it much other than her hosting duties. There is a segment from the 80s, though, that shows her Broadway Baby performance, accompanied by John Williams direction of the Pops. A lot of great performances by a lot of great performers are included. It was a very enjoyable show.

Anybody know why I have access to THREE different PBS stations in the Baltimore/DC area and NONE of them have this airing anytime soon!?!?! I never saw the Character Studies on Rose either that was supposedly airing on PBS.
 Sorry...just venting my frustrations

Well Mandy I saw the Character Study and even recorded it but then promptly proceeded to accidentally erase it.

Bump and a first reminder for those of you who so generously offered to record for those of us living in the no-where-land of Broadway-less public television.
(If you get KETC you can watch on Thursday, November 24, @ 7:00pm--but I'll bet you already knew that.)

LOL I'm still in the process of recording it for people. I got 4 of them done so far.
I didn't forget. It's just time consuming, so I'm trying to get it done when I can.
I should be able to send them out by the end of the week.
It's a good special. Bernadette's not in it that much. They show her a couple of times as host, and you hear her talk about some of the other performers. There are a lot of great performances from all different singers in this special.
