| posted: 3/9/2005 at 2:28:05 PM ET I read the link and can't help thinking that we're assuming that BP is playing the role of the adoptive mother. Both adoptive and biological mother roles aren't cast yet. Either way, good luck to the cast and crew (especially BP!!!!) Can't wait to see the show (fingers crossed!)

| posted: 3/9/2005 at 2:32:06 PM ET I think what was posted was the original casting call listing all the characters - probably issued a while ago. The Variety article originally posted states that Bernadette has been cast as Mrs. Leaf and the subsequent links to the advertisements for the pilot show her as the only cast member. The other roles have not been cast yet or at least no official announcement has been made beyond Bernadette's role

Registered: 6/26/2003 | posted: 3/9/2005 at 10:31:03 PM ET Now in my unimaginative mind, when I first read about this, I was thinking she could be the birth mother who gave up her son to pursue her performing career and now that her "star is dimming" (why does that sound familiar), she's getting older, and feeling lonely and vulnerable, she seeks out her child and tries to insert herself into his life.
I think I'm going to try and go to the taping if I can get free. Not to be pessimistic, but I know some of these things never see the light of day. I was once contacted by some survey company to watch some dreadful pilot, (I remember all they cared about was what commercials and brands I noticed) but it was being shown way up on the cable dials and they told me when and where to watch. I decided to check back to see what else was being shown and I stumbled across some sitcom pilot with Julie Andrews. She was playing a star of a variety show with a family. I don't know that the show was every actually broadcast on any of the networks. Haven't LuPone, McDonald and others all filmed pilots that weren't picked up?
Hoping for the best though.

one can guess the audience they are going for.
However, if it is this Andrew Walker

your guess is as good as mine.
