Has he been involved-producing wise-in other shows? Before I get all hopped up about a new composition, I wonder if that could be the new show. I don't know. If he's working on a show (with a new score) that should be ready in a season or two, it's the best kept secret in town. Unless this is Bounce, which wouldn't be as surprising.
Cincinnati is in the Eastern Time Zone, so adjust your time reference accordingly.
I'll be able to listen tonight.

The new production in New York will be "Bounce", according to Steve. He sounded very sure--he said they have a producer and they are about "90 % there."
He said it would be at the end of next season. He did not mention casting. (I don't remember whether he specifically said "Broadway" or just "New York".)
This man is so articulate--I could listen to him forever.

From: northern VA | posted: 3/27/2006 at 8:30:26 AM ET He said New York. It was a very good interview. I haven't heard his voice in a while, and it was nice to hear that it is as strong as ever.

From: NYC | posted: 3/27/2006 at 9:06:17 AM ET I think "Bounce" will be at the Public based 1) the reading was at the Public and 2) a recent article in New York Magazine that mentioned that Sondheim was in a meeting with Oskar Eustis, the new artistic director of the Public. Article mentioning Sondheim

I tried to catch the end but apparently it was only half an hour. By the time I started listening there was some man talking about his kite flying club.
