Woo hoo! I listened to it straight away - very exciting as this is just my second taste of gypsy (keith being the star that he is recorded the tonys for me! i love him!!!). Anyhooblydoobly, I started listening and the overture is just beautiful, I listened to all of it and thoroughly enjoyed it - great stuff!
May we entertain you, baby june and her newsboys, dainty june and her farmboys - deliciously irratating!
Some People - i really felt like she was Rose but I have to say, I prefer the way she sang it on the "Sondheim etc" CD.
Small World- oh its lovely!! Such a sweet song!
Mr Goldstone - hilarious!
Little lamb- awww!
You'll never get away from me - There voices intertwine so nicely!
Everythings coming up roses - FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS!!
Madame Rose's Toreadorables- so funny!
Together, wherever we go- one of my favourites, I've been singing it all day!
Roses Turn - Breathtaking.

My sentiments exactly! My CD arrived yesterday as well and it was a total joy to listen to. AND we have tickets to see Gypsy this Saturday so I'll get to see everything in person all over again AND BP won't have a cold this time. Wahoo!!! Life is good.

if you go and wait for her at the stage door would you consider printing out a message from me to her as fan who is....how can I put it...not a strong enough swimmer to make it across to see her in gypsy. lol

Jenny, Ha, ha that's funny about the swimming. I'm probably not going to stand at the stage door but, if I do, I'd be more than happy to pass on a message for you. Just post a reply to this and I'll print it out and bring it with me. I don't usually wait at the stage door and, if I do, I just gawk. Us New Englanders sometimes find it really hard to talk to total strangers. :-)

You are the most amazing actress and singer I've ever had the honour of hearing. I'm so sad that I can't come and see you in Gypsy (I'm a Londoner. Come over and visit us, we'd love to have you!) but I recently aquired the CD and let me tell you - I was just lying flat on my bedroom floor in sheer bliss as I absorbed ever note you sang.
Over the past few years, I'm now 15 and a half, I have collected nearly all your filmed work - my God, you've done a lot!
One day I hope to be half the broadway star you are. And star is the word to descirbe you - illuminous, magical, beautiful and one could watch it forever.

Jenny, If I can, I certainly will. I've printed out your letter and have packed it in my suitcase... right next to my new CD and theatre tickets. I'll let you know how I did on Tuesday when I get back.

Jenny,
Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to stand by the stage door on Saturday. It was pouring when we got out of the theater. Sorry I wasn't able to help you out. The good news is that Bernadette was absolutely wonderful! What a difference from her performance in May! However, I did embaress my husband at the beginning. During Bernadette's first entrance, the audience went crazy... clapping and cheering and a loud "bravo" escaped my mouth before I could stop it. Boy oh boy, I heard about that for the rest of the weekend! "You don't shout 'bravo' BEFORE someone has performed!!!!" Ha, ha LOL I just couldn't help myself. I was overcome in the moment. :-)
