Is she performing again? She must have been really sick.

She had an appendicitis , which I'd imagine recquires a lot of rest. I do not know if she is back yet.

I've heard that she comes back in for a few performances and then has to take a few off. With all her bopping around and stuff, I'm sure it is really hard after stomach surgery. It's long recovery process.

Out of the 4 other recordings of this show that I own, I certainly feel that Kate gives the best performance. She is so spectacular on the CD and of course, in live performance.

I didn't know she had an appendectomy. I'm so glad she's doing better.

Kate (bliss), I just want you to know that you are WONDERFUL in the show.

I really don't want this to come out the wrong way because I love Kate R in the role and hoped she was getting better fast but as unfortunate as it was for her to get sick, Jenna was given an unbelievable opportunity. And I have to say, knowing that she is only 17 and that this is her Broadway debut is pretty damn impressive! They're both obviously very talented actresses!

Not necessarily. From what I've heard she auditioned and obviously left a pretty great impression for them to hire her as a Hollywood Blond/June understudy. She actually *just* turned 17 so she actually started in this show when she was 16( which I believe is the cut off age for one needing a child wrangler to be in a show like this). But really no matter how old she is, I was impressed with her performance regardless

Being sixteen myself I have to say that being on Broadway is some accomplishment. I couldn't even imagine that. I saw her twice and I thought she was great! I had no idea she was 17 until someone told me. Great job Jenna!

I'm so happy that Kate Reinders is doing better. She really is such a professional being able to jump back into the role full time after such a serious surgery; and she's as nice as she is talented.
I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to see Jenna in the role, but I'm glad Kate is back and able to perform.

I have to agree, Kate Reinders really does an exceptional job as Dainty June. This part is very challenging, because she has to make an impression relatively early on, without the benefit of Act II to allow character development. She really brings great depth and dimension to the role. The feeling and complexity of emotions she brings to the "audition" scene and in IF MOMMA WAS MARRIED are extraordinarily impressive. Glad she is feeling better! A trouper, indeed! And I must add that Kate Buddeke's Mazeppa sounds PHENOMENAL on the CD. What a riotous performance, captured for the ages.
