HI !! well, ok i have been reading this message board for almost a year now and it is my first time posting. wow am i excited! haha. so heres the deal : my INCREDiBLY GREAT PARENTS are flying me from New Orleans to see Gypsy!!!~!! They surprised me on tony night with tickets! my tickets are orch. row S seats 13, 15, and 17. so, i was wondering if those were good? i was ecstatic just to get orchestra, but i was wondering, because of how much they are spending on these tix, if they would be worth it and how good of a veiw i would have. also, i am hoping to meet her at the stage door ( YAY!!! ) and i was wondering if yall think it would be ok if i gave her a letter telling her how wonderful i think she is or if that would be innappropriate. i also wanted to know if yall had any suggestions for what i can do while i'm there besides seeing my idol for the first time live!
anyway, i would really appreciate it if yall could help and thanks alot!
Sorry for rambling on so much....i am just soooooo excited!

The seats are pretty good. I'm sure you will see everything just fine. Just make sure you sit in 13 and your parents sit in 15 and 17. LOL Just kidding. The Shubert Theater has quite an intimate feel.

If you want to make it a Bernadette themed trip, I would highly recommend going to the Museum of Television and Radio on 52nd Street between 5th and 6th. The best part is the "library". What this really is is a room full of computers that allows you to search through their archives. You choose up to 4 shows and then you go to a room with lots of monitors and watch your selections. There are lots of great shows with Bernadette but the best is the 1954 Name That Tune with Bernadette as a 5 year old contestant. I also recommend the Tonight Show appearances.

Have you been to NYC before?

Oh, welcome to the board.

You should definitely give Bernadette your letter; I'm sure she'll love it. When are you going?

Welcome to the board, and please let us know how your trip turns out. Moljul is right, you have to see Name That Tune...it's adorable.

Just the line "That's what I just told you!!" is worth the trip.

No no it was two thousand hundred times. I remember it because it wasn't even a real number. So incredibly cute.

Host: "And how many times can you twirl it now?"

Baby Bernadette: "One".

God I need to get down to MT&R soon.

Well I've seen it many times and it isn't really the suspense that I find entertaining. You could watch her over and over again and still be in hysterics. But to not give it all away I won't go into her explanation of what her father does for a living. Not to mention her obsession with "horsies" during one of the songs.

That's the truth! I'm cracking up just remembering all of it. I forgot about the horse thing....I haven't been there in a long time. God I wish I had that on tape.
