anyone have any idea when they will record GYPSY?

Playbill will most definitely announce when it will be recorded, and keep us all posted as to a possible release date. An early Fall release seems likely right now, barring any more postponements. It seems they are wisely giving Bernadette time to get back to 100-percent, while she performs the grueling role at somewhat less-than-full throttle.

I was just told by a production source that the recording is scheduled for June 22nd and is still scheduled to be released about one month later which would keep it in line with the previously announced mid-July date. Ooo, it's going to be a nice birthday for me.

Yup. That's the date that's been floating out there for a little while now. Someone from the show mentioned it to me a little while ago.I know the question as to when it will be recorded has been asked a lot recently on ATC and Broadway.com...I just didn't want to say anything because of Bernadette's illness and the possibility of it being changed...plus it hasn't officially been announced yet.I'm only posting this because it seems others have heard the same thing so its obviously no big secret now
