I added a doohickey so you can send messages to other users without email. I have to integrate it in with the rest of the site, but you can play with it now.

By default the feature is turned OFF for all accounts. You can enable it on your account if you want.

The "personal message" icon shows up for people who have enabled it.

I have to think of an easy way of notifying people they have new messages, still.

You can see if you have new personal messages by just clicking on the "Message Boards" link on the left side. It'll show up above the forum listings.
