Many years ago I saw her on TV singing some song in an alternating normal & deep voice, kindof like Louis Armstrong voice. For some reason I'm thinking it was some old blues song about a frog where the frog voice was the alternating deep part. Very sexy performance with her throaty voice. May have been on SNL,not sure...

Ring a bell any one? would love to see the video again.

I really don't know what song this might be. However, FYI, when she hosted Saturday Night Live in 1981, she sang: Johnny Keep Your Gun Clean (in a skit), and "Making Love Alone".

She made many appearances on the Carol Burnett show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, but I don't recall anything like you are describing. She also sang on the Muppet Show: "Just One Person".

Sorry!

Found it! But it was Madeline Kahn. Ain't got no home!

They're both beautiful , and for some reason my mind mixes them up!
