In an interview, Bernadette said this about "Send in the Clowns" (I'm sure the concert-goers will be in for a real treat this Saturday).
"Peters plans to sing two songs from "Follies," her latest Broadway appearance, and her show-stopping "Send in the Clowns" from her signature role in "A Little Night Music."
"I said I would never sing that song out of the show," she said. "But I thought it was written so perfectly, and I had to sing it for Steve (Sondheim) for an event, and I thought, I can bring all that information with me from the scene ... it's just such a wonderful song, so deep, so wonderful and so fulfilling."

I have had the privilege of seeing her do it twice in the concert program so far and it is definitely one of the highlights of the show and gets an amazing response.

She sang "Send in the Clowns" when I saw her in Santa Barbara. I think I remember her saying it was only her 4th time singing the song in concert. I'm looking forward to the concert on Saturday. I'm glad I read that article about all the traffic. Thanks for posting Jean.
