Fantastic, if all too brief, Bernadette concert tonight. Best seats I have ever had for a show - Row A, right in the center. While the overture was playing, we could see BP's unmistakable shadow on the open stage door while she apparently sprayed her hair, took swigs out of a water bottle, and generally swished around! Here is the set list:

Overture (the usual one)
Let Me Entertain You
No One Is Alone
Nothing Like A Dame
Fever
Some Enchanted Evening (always a big favorite for me)
One Hundred People (great!)
In Buddy's Eyes
Losing My Mind (WOW!!!!!!!!!!!)
When You Wish Upon a Star
Being Alive
Kramer's Song

Looking great and in fine voice, even if she does have a little cough going. She is still shilling her Florida house but in a funny good natured way which the audience laughed at quite a bit. BP seemed to be playing around with the timing a bit, singing a little behind the beat and holding out phrases longer here and there, such a pro. Several new songs in the repertoire obviously - A Hundred People has a great sort of frantic sounding orchestra arrangement and Bernadette zips through the fast tricky lyric flawlessly. The two songs from Follies are just amazing, and I can not say enough how absolutely astounding it was to hear her sing Losing My Mind. This is seriously going to be everyone's favorite new song for awhile, just amazing. Being Alive has some new twists in the arrangement too that are just superb.
The wife took quite a few pictures and even some short video, I will try to get some of this up over the weekend. Got a big Halloween party tomorrow so probably Sunday!

Interesting on the Follies stuff, both of those songs are sung by the same character in the show, maybe she's hinting at something for the future?

Last night was my first time seeing Bernadette in concert. It was wonderful, but much too brief. When I purchased my tickets the representative said she would do a 90 minute set! I guess he was confused. Even with the short set, I thought it was great. Bernadette was in excellent voice. My seat was in the second row center. It felt like she was singing right to me. Is there anything better than making eye contact during a song? Truly a great evening and hopefully the first of many future Bernadette concerts for me.
