But I think it's possible they could bring her back at some point...since she is a lawyer, she could be defending someone else and the detectives talked about her like they were familiar with her work.

She was the only one who's character name was given in the opening credits and the detectives and the DA acted like they knew her - calling her Stella, etc. and acting like they knew she was kind of a slimy lawyer.
I love the line of Eliot's - something about the temperature of the room rising when Stella left the room.

I really loved in the first scene when she just grabbed Chris Sarandon and pulled him out of the room. Though her parting line about letting a husband grieve gave me the chills.
Also loved the way she called her client, "Darrlingg".

Me too. I could almost see the grief in her eyes.

I can't remember if I've only seen Tovah Feldsuh, Chip Zien, etc. on one or if they've crossed over. I think it's best to be a lawyer on the Sam Waterston one since half the show is devoted to the "legal" side.

Bravo to Bob Saget! Who thought he had a performance like that in him? Or anywhere within a 10 block radius?

I watch all three sporadically, but I've never bothered to see whether the lawyers or the judges cross over. You would think they could, but I guess they have different directors, etc.

She was just a very tough, aggressive criminal defense attorney--smart, kind of slick, but bemused greatly by her own slickness. Of course the cops hated her; the cops always hate defense lawyers. I took the thing about letting the husband grieve as part of her "put the police on the defensive" lawyer-schtick.
And, yeah, it was very hot.
