Gypsy is now supposedly opening on May 1st instead of April 24th and the first preview is March 31st instead of March 24th.

Wow, now we all have to wait even longer. I'm sorta mad about that, but I'll try and look at it this way: More time to rehearse = better show. More time to wait = more suspense. When the show finally does roll around, we would have been waiting for it for a long time and that just makes the show better. Do I make sense at all?

Well that is a good attitude though you really only have to wait an extra week. :-) And I believe it was changed because they had to alter the rehearsal schedule so that certainly is a good excuse for the postponement.

I was waiting until it was confirmed to say anything.I haven't even seen or heard an "offical" announcement yet. I heard about this about a week or so ago through someone I know that it was a *possibility* that it was going to be pushed back but now that the cats out of the bag... They recently had to push back the starting date for rehearsals( by a week) which is why the show is opening a little later. They're still holding audtions this week.

LOL Why is it that all of Bernadette's recent endevours seem to be getting pushed back? First "Prince Charming" then "A Few Good Years" and now Gypsy! UGGG it's so frustrating! Thank God her concerts are consistant in sticking with the original dates.

well now they are on schedule...in 2001 some were moved because she had to film bobby's girl but even the extra wait is worth it
