It's interesting to hear how the vocal timbre of her speaking voice, back then in the midst of the grueling Gypsy run, was so different from what it is now--much deeper, with noticeable hoarseness.
I never knew she auditioned for Hair and even made it to callbacks.
And I'm so glad she doesn't like new-age music--"the kind that's supposed to make you relax."
Required listening.

| posted: 8/1/2005 at 8:47:35 PM ET So I wonder, if she had been cast, what our "i don't do nude" Bernadette would have done in Hair. I've never seen the show but there is a chorus nude scene, isn't there?

Registered: 5/3/2002 | posted: 8/1/2005 at 9:01:23 PM ET Yes, but the nudity wasn't a requirement. Most of the actors took their clothes off, but Diane Keaton opted out of the disrobing. I think a couple of others did also (they never became famous though, so no one talks about them).
