I think my favorite thing about seeing photos of Bernadette at events is that it is not uncommon to see her wearing something she has been photographed in before. That really shows that she is a real person because not all of us can wear something once and then never again. The dress from the Donna Karan show looks like the one from Broadway Barks and the Zac Posen outfit, I think, is from Joel Grey's birthday party. Good for her for breaking one of those unspoken celebrity rules about never being photographed in the same outfit twice!

In 2002 she wore the same dress twice in a month, on the CBS Morning Show, to promote first the Tonys and then Broadway Barks. She always wears outfits over and over again--I LOVE that she does that.

Aw-she's wearing a "Rose" pin at the Posen show.
Karen: are you really going to make me go to the library to check out Walden? It's only been 35 years or so since I last read it.

From: NYC | posted: 9/14/2004 at 2:05:32 PM ET I love Walden but Thoreau was a bit of jerk - he led Louisa May Alcott on and then she promptly went mad. The period during the Civil War and just after is the most interesting in the history of American literature...arguably the writings and events of the mid to late 19th century shaped who we became in the 20th century. There is still much to learn from Thoreau and others like him.
