Fellow Bernadette fans..our list is ever so quiet. I know there is
that much going on but I think we could probably think of something to
talk about. Let's see-- let's take a poll:
Favorite Bernadette hair color...red or blonde?

*hey at least I'm trying!* Anyway, I think it's hands-down RED! -Eric

I like the red, makes her look like a more serious performer, more mature.
Adds sophistication, too.

Red or borwn, but red makes her look more lively. It also gives another touch
of uniqueness to her.

Hey, is anyone a little confused at why Bernadette wasn't in the number @ the
parade? I guess she was with her family, she deserves it, but I still would
have liked to see her.

P.S.

It was pouring down rain!!! Her hair would have been HUGE!!! I missed her
too, but didn't really expect to see her. I hope Liz Callaway sings this
year. That's the highlight of the parade for me.

I'm confused did they do a clip of AGYG on the parade today??

I saw the "Caberat" and "Scarlett Pimpernel" clip.

I guess I missed it.

Yes, they did "There's No Business Like Show Business" with Tom Wopat and the
ensemble. It looked like it was going to be really cool, but they added some
stupid rap-like thing in the middle. Irving Berlin was probably rolling in
his grave. But they did some fun hat tricks and Tom Wopat was pretty decent.

Tiff-my preferance for BP's hair colour is also based on the fact I have

I know! When I first heard that there was going to be a number from
Annie Get Your Gun, I considered taping it becaise Bernadette would
be in it. And when it did come on, I kept waiting for Bernadette to
come out with her verse ("There's no business like Show Business, if
you teel me it's so.") Oh well. Maybe next year.

Macy's Department Store has a HUGE parade every Thanksgiving Day with lots of
highlights from Broadway shows performed at Herald's Square. It's quite
festive. When I lived in New York, I used to go to the Natural History Museum
on Central Park West and watch them blow up the balloons. That was really
something to see. The crowds start lining up along the parade route at an
ungodly hour of the morning though and I could never get close enough to see
the parade live, so I ended up watching it on TV - a much better view in my
opinion, especially on a day like yesterday when everyone outside was soaked
to the bone!

Yeah... it's a Sondheim revue. Such songs as "With So Little to Be Sure Of,"
"Pretty Little Picture," "Being Alive," "The Miller's Son," "Johanna," "Not a
Day Goes By," "Old Friends," and some obscure Sondheim songs, such as
selections from the unproduced Sondheim musical "Saturday Night" and unused
songs from "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum." A 1983
performance of the show was recorded for CD under the title "A Stephen
Sondheim Evening," with performances by Liz Callway, George Hearn, Cris
Groenendaal, and a special appearance by Angela Lansbury performing "Send in
the Clowns." Hehehe -- I just got that CD so I was full of info, sorry 'bout
that.
