See headers | Cats was my first Broadway show, I saw it when I was 5. While I don't think
it's very good, and I can't understand for the life of me how an
international joke (come on, Letterman mocks it on a nightly basis) has
lasted 18 years, a part of me is sad to see it go. It has always had
sentimental value for me. That said, it has monopolized the Winter Garden
for 18 years!!! It's time to get some new shows in there. I'd love to see
some other long (and not so long) running shows shut down too... but uh
that's another subject...
And to keep this remotely on-topic, Into the Woods was my second show. I
saw it because Cats got me hooked :-)
-Shoshanna, whose overly sentimental side will probably get her back to see
Cats again before it closes... it's been 14 years, I think maybe it's time
to go back.... even though it really isn't very good....
