See headers | The tonight quartet is so awesome! However i almost
wasnt in it, just like all the other jets. Cause in
the score it says that only maria, tony, annita, and
riff and bernardo sing (without their gangs). But the
script it says we do, so we kinda lucked out on that
one. But its such a great song, so effective!
However we have to climb a fence to get to that song
and i can not for the life of me climb it. But i dont
think it matters because ny character is the one thats
chosen to fight Bernardo in the "fair fight", untill
Tony tries to break it up and all. So i think im fine
:-)

congrats on West Side Story!!
I just got an audition request for a west side story
run for this summer,
but it's kinda far away, so i think i'm gonna
decline...
However...i am singing the part of Tony in the
"Tonight Quartet" in a
variety show over valentines day weekend.....I have
the warm place in my
heart for West Side Story...first off cuz I'm a GIANT
stephen sondheim
fan....and secondly because West Side Story is the
show that got me
interested in musical theater to begin with...(i kinda
grew up with "Tommy",
but that doesn't really count since it was an unstaged
rock opera/movie at
that point)
other than that I'm doing the "Judge" in Gilbert &
Sullivan's Trial By Jury
with a small group...that opens friday....and I just
got cast as Marcelles
Washburn in "Music Man"....but i have auditions for
jesus christ Superstar
in two weeks (i did the role of peter three years
ago)...so i may not commit
to the music man....we'll see!
